Bank Manager Robs Own Bank
Police in Kasese district are investigating circumstances under which the Manager of Centenary Bank Bwera Branch allegedly robbed his bank of over Shs 500 million.
It is alleged that on October 7, branch manager and the chief cashier entered the strong room at around 6.30 pm before they fled with millions of shilling including dollars.
The Regional Police Commander Rwenzori East Deo Obura has confirmed that the manager, chief cashier and a taxi driver are being as prime suspects as investigations continue.
He said no recovery has been made so far but they are already clues that could lead investigators to the entire racket involved.
