The Forum for Democratic Change president Dr. Kiiza has again been blocked by security personnel as he headed towards Kasangati town from his home.

Besigye was driving through a path from his home that joins the Gayaza main road when he met a heavy security presence.

There were five police patrol cars, two police vans, four other security cars and a towing car.

Commanded by the Officer in Charge of Kasangati Police Station Collins Mukitale, the security personnel then ordered Besigye to go back home.

The officers at the scene told Besigye that he was under preventive arrest and that his only option was to go back home or face arrest.

This comes at a time when the police continue to engage in running battles with Walk to Work protestors who are expressing their dissatisfaction over the high cost of living.

Besigye is one of the several people that were earlier arrested and charged in court over participation in the protests.

The Walk to Work protests are some of the activities lined up by the Activists for Change pressure group under their civil defiance campaign.

Speaking to journalists shortly after he returned home, Besigye said he is consulting his lawyers and could be seeking a court injunction against the officers that have been deployed around his home.
