Besigye Case Pushed To September 26th

Former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Dr. Col Kiiza Besigye has today appeared before a court in Kabale to answer charges of inciting violence and injuring police officers.

The said case was commitment by Dr. Besigye, City Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, Rukungiri Municipality Member of Parliament Hon.Roland Mugume and others on 14th July 2012 when they held an authorized rally at Kabale Stadium.

Court presided over by Justice Egonda Ntende heard from three state witnesses who included the then DPC of Kabale Julius Elopu.

The case has been adjourned to September 26th.

After the court session, Besigye led a procession through Kabale town amid tight security.
