The FDC leader Col. Kizza Besigye has been allowed to leave his home unlike yesterday’s events, when he was blocked by security operatives.

The police said he was under preventive arrest, having announced plans to participate in the Walk to Work protests yesterday.

He has however been allowed to leave home today and has driven through two road blocks without being stopped.

Besigye attended prayers at Kibuli Mosque where he joined the Lord mayor Erias Lukwago.

Speaking after the prayers, Besigye said he is no longer sure of whether or not he is under house arrest.

He says he is sometimes allowed to leave his house and yet blocked at other times, leaving him confused on what exactly is the official position.

He however says his lawyers are considering appropriate legal action to stop what he calls continued abuse of his rights.
