By Ritah Kemigisa:

The file of the Infamous Police officer Gilbert Arinaitwe Bwana, best known for pepper spraying opposition politician Dr Kizza Besige during the walk-to work demonstrations in 2011 has been forwarded to the state Attorney.

On Friday last week, Arinaitwe was arrested for allegedly raping a woman.

According to the Professional Standards unit spokesperson Vincent Ssekate the forensic department has already carried out an investigation in Arinaitwe’s where the alleged rape case is claimed to have been carried out.

Ssekate says the file has been submitted to the state attorney for perusal and legal advice adding that the suspect has been given police bond pending conclusion of the investigation.
