Boda-Boda 2010 patron Abdallah Kitata trial on today

The trial of Boda-Boda 2010 patron Abdallah Kitata is expected to resume this morning before the General Court Martial sitting in Makindye.

Kitata who is currently on remand at MakindyeMllitary Barracks together with 12 others will today start battling with charges of unlawful possession of fire arms and military equipment.

Kitata separately faces 5 counts of being in unlawful possession of an SMG gun, 3 pistols and 50 rounds of live ammunition that prosecution states were found on him on January 18th 2018 at a hotel in Wakaliga.

According to Prosecution the above items are a monopoly of the UPDF.

General court Martial chairman Lt.Gen Andrew Gutti is also this morning expected to decide on whether or not to release Kitata on bail immediately after state prosecutor Maj. Rapheal Mugisha responds to his bail application.
