They are dotted around the city and its suburbs,considered as the swiftest and fastest mode of transport especially in times of emergency with access to even hard to reach areas.

These are the motor cycles commonly referred to as bodabodas.

Despite their convenience, lately they have turned into a security threat, as many criminals have turn to them in execution of their missions.

Many have argued though, that the bodaboda industry is not a criminal gang but their name is tainted by a few bad apples.

In the following report, KFM’s Herbert Zziwa assesses just how big this problem is and what is being done to address it.
