Bundibugyo indicate that the RDC Pius Mujuzi has been shot and injured by a police officer.

This has been confirmed by the UPDF Rwenzori region spokesperson Ninsiima Rwemizuma.

Meanwhile Members of Parliament are casting doubt over the nature of the attacks, dismissing reports that these are tribal clashes.

The weekend tribal attacks in Bundibugyo, Ntoroko and Kasese left more than 60 people, including two police officers and a soldier dead.

MPs Wilfred Niwagaba, Stephen Ochola, Milton Muwuma, Jack Sabiti and Elijah Okupa say the attacks were well orchestrated since they targeted key security installations.

They want government to come out to give an explanation and deploy in the area to avert any future attacks.
