Erias Lukwago

A function organized by Kampala Capital City Authority to launch the security lights at Bulange, Mengo has been abruptly called off.

The cancelation followed the arrival of the Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago who was not invited for the function.

The councilors were the first people to walk away in protest.

Later, the Master of ceremonies announced that the function had been called off.

However, KCCA spokesman, Peter Kawujju says the minister who was supposed to officiate could not make it.

This did not stop Lukwago from launching the lights amid cheers from his supporters.

Lukwago has been out of office since November last year despite a court order that reinstated him.
