Security officials in Nebbi have issued tough rules against night disco operators in the region.

This is after an angry mob in Nebbi district killed 22 year old Jerry Okirwoth, a deejay for allegedly playing bad music.

According to the Nebbi Resident District Commissioner William Bob Labeja, no disco operator will conduct their business in the sub-county.

He adds that anybody who defies the directive will be prosecuted adding that all disco halls are to be closed since they are causing insecurity in the area.

The deceased has been a senior three student at Parombo Secondary School who was working as a part-time deejay at one of the disco halls in Nebbi district.
