Opposition political parties have blamed the ruling NRM for the demise of the Inter Party Organisation for Dialogue (IPOD).

IPOD was established in 2010 by five political parties to push for electoral reforms among other pertinent issues.

The Democratic Party president Norbert Mao says the NRM has frustrated the operations of the organisation by sending weak representation.

Mao says the coalition is currently facing a lot of challenges and cannot function effectively.

Government has however often rubbished the allegations as totally baseless
