EC extends Bubuulo campaigns for a day

The Electoral Commission has extended the campaign period for the Bubuulo West by-election by one day.

The Manafwa district returning officer Salim Kizindo says they have given a one day extension from 7th to 8th this month.

complained about the campaigns ending 48 hours to the elections instead of the 72 hours that had earlier been scheduled by the electoral commission.

Kizindo however says polling date remains unchanged on April 10th.

The by-election was called after Tonny Kipoi Nsubuga was thrown out of parliament for absconding from duty.
