With just hours to the end of the voter register display exercise, the Electoral commission is warning that there will not be any extension.

Since July 22nd the commission has been displaying the registers at all polling stations for voters to check their details with a purpose of having a clean register.

The commission spokesperson Jotham Taremwa says they did enough publicity for the exercise and so there will be no need for extensions.

Taremwa says from July 14ththe commission will embark on another exercise of displaying the names of all those persons recommended for deletion or inclusion on the voter’s register and this will be done at the parish level.
