A committee instituted to investigate alleged neglect of duty and incompetence of two senior officials of Wakiso District and staff of Nakawuka Health Centre III, has finalised its work.

Hajji Wasswa Masokoyi, who chairs the district six-member rewards and sanctions committee, says they have interviewed all the 17 interdicted staff and a report will be out in one week.

The civil servants were sacked by President Museveni in August after residents raised complaints over their poor attitude towards work.

The presidential directive also affected both the district health officer, Dr. Emmanuel Mukisa and Fredrick Kiyingi, the District Education Officer who were accused of not adequately supervising health units and schools i leading to poor service delivery.

Speaking to journalists after appearing before the committee, Dr. Mukisa  asked the district disciplinary committee to act independently and ensure that justice prevails.
