A father in Namayingo District has been arrested for allegedly burning his 12-year old daughter’s hands for asking him to pay her school fees.

The suspect, a resident of Dokwe village in Buhemba sub-county was arrested on the orders of Namayingo Deputy Resident District Commissioner Solomon Baleke.

Baleke says the suspect was reported by the area Local Council 1 Chairman Charles Lokwe who identifies him as Henry Sijja.

The injured girl who is a Primary Four Pupil is currently receiving treatment at Buyinja Health Centre IV, while the suspected has been charged with attempted murder.
