The police in Mukono district have arrested a 44 year old man for defiling his five month old daughter.

The suspect identified as Paul Okwaleis a resident of Mpatta Sub-County in Mukono.

He defiled the baby while the wife identified as Contress Achagi was away, and had left her under his care.

She reported the matter to the LC1 chairperson who forwarded it to police.

Fred Muhanguzi the deputy OC CID has confirmed the arrest of Okwale and condemns such actions.

The baby is currently admitted in the intensive care unit at Mukono Health Centre 4 where it’s receiving treatment.

Okwale has is charged with aggravated defilement and will soon be produced in court.
