The Forum for Democratic Party Change has today inaugurated the reconciliation commission.

The party’s National Chairman Sam Njuba says the 5-member committee constituted recently will help establish the truth from the November presidential polls.

He says the committee is also charged with the responsibility of improving the party’s electoral process and handle complaints arising from the elections held in November last year.

The committee comprises city lawyer Ladislus Rwakafuzi as chairperson and Peter Sempala as Secretary.

The others are Elizabeth Abong, Atnasius Lutalo and Stephen Okwalinga.

Speaking shortly after inauguration at the party headquarters, Rwakafuzi said the commission will handle petitions from Nandala Mafabi and Geoffery Ekanya, all of whom contested results fro the November elections that saw Maj Gen Mugisha Muntu emerge winner, taking over from Kiiza Besigye as party president.

He adds that they start work within the next seven days.
