The police Force Fire and Rescue Services are still struggling to completely put out the fire that gutted the Royal Foam Mattress, Megha industries, at Kyambogo this morning.

The Kampala deputy police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire says much as they have managed to contain the fire that started as early as 3am from further spreading, there is still fire in the basement of the building that they are yet to put out.

Owoyesigyire says the fire started from one of the production store which has been completely burned down.

He adds that no injuries or deaths have been reported although millions worth of property have been destroyed.

He however says investigations are ongoing to find out the actual cause of the fire and the extent of damage caused.
