By Damali Mukhaye:

Kampala capital city authority had given the food vendors operating outside the shops at Arua Park one week to vacate over illegal business.

Speaking during an operation today, the supervisor health inspection and education directorate Emilian Ahimbisibwe says that food is not supposed to be traded in an open place as it draws food poisoning.

He notes that most food vendors operating outside the shops are operating from there illegally since they do not pay any taxes to KCCA.

He says that the authority has given them up to next week on Thursday to have the petty businesses shifted to gazetted place or they face imprisonment
