At least 24 formerly abducted girls and boys in Amuria district have been boosted with sewing machines after graduating with certificates in various technical skills at Musa vocational institute.

The six month training saw the former LRA abductees acquire technical skills ranging from tailoring, hair dressing and radio broadcasting with the main focus of preaching peace and reconciliation programmes.

According to the president of the high adventure ministry, who is also the head of the Canadian team Don McLaughlin, their organization has partnered with Amuria Rural Development Agency (ARUDA) in conjunction with Musa Vocational training institute in training the returnees aimed at enhancing recovery.

While, officiating at the function, the state minister for disaster preparedness, Hon Musa Ecweru apologized to the abductees for the pain they went through under the hands of the LRA rebels when they were abducted in their respective villages.
