The jailed former Permanent Secretary in the ministry of Public Service Jimmy Lwamafa has further been remanded to Luzira prison over charges relating to corruption.

The Anti-Corruption Court Judge Lawrence Gidudu read charges against him including eight counts of abuse of office, causing financial loss and false accounting of Shs. 88 billion meant for NSSF contribution.
His co-accused are the Principal Accountant Christopher Obey and Director Research and Development Stephen Kunsa Kiwanuka.

They pleaded not guilty to the offences and have all been further remanded to Luzira Prison till 7th October for hearing to kick off.

The judge refused to entertain their bail application saying he cannot overturn an earlier ruling by Justice Margaret Tibulya unless prosecution fails to produice witnesses on 7th October, when ther return to court for hearing.
