The ministry of works and transport has revoked the operational license of Gaga Coaches.

This follows the early morning accident, in which a Gaga bus rammed into a stationary truck, at Kalule town near Bombo town, claiming at least 7 lives.

The bus registration number UAL 158Z was heading to Kampala from Lira when it rammed into a stationed trailer truck laden with grain.

The commissioner in charge of traffic Steven Kasima says the Gaga Coaches management has ignored traffic regulations for a long time, in addition to having reckless drivers.

Kasima says the accident could have been totally avoided if the drivers had not been reckless.

He says the license will not be reinstated until all Gaga coach buses have been tested for proper mechanical condition and all their drivers trained afresh.

This is the 4th bus company to have its license revoked over unprofessional conduct after Western Coaches, Baluku coaches and Savior Bus Company.
