The army has confirmed that the body of the Gen Aronda Nyakairima will be flown back on Wednesday at 1:00pm aboard Emirates.

The army spokesperson Lt Col Paddy Ankunda says a funeral program has been drawn indicating that the body is to lie in state at parliament on Thursday at 9:00am.

Ankunda adds that prayers will take place at Kololo Ceremonial grounds on Friday starting 9:00am and he encourages members of the public who wish to attend the service to assemble by 8:00am

Gen Aronda will be laid to rest on Saturday 19th Sept at Nyakiju in Rukungiri district.
