Gen Aronda’s Body At City Mortuary For Further Tests

The body of General Aronda Nyakairima has this afternoon been flown back from Dubai.
The casket containing the body of the fallen General arrived at Entebbe International Airport at 1pm aboard an Emirates Airbus and was received by the Defence minister Dr.Cryspus Kiyonga.
Other senior officers that were present included the Chief of Defence Forces Gen Katumba Wamala, Gen. Elly Tumwine and Police Chief Gen Kale Kayihura.
While the poll bearers were led by Lt. General Ivan Koreta.
The Army spokesperson Lt Col Paddy Ankunda has told KFM that the body is now at Mulago City mortuary were further tests are to be carried out.
He explained that this is meant to help investigators get to the real cause of the General’s death.
Gen Aronda died in transit from South Korea where had gone for official duties.
Parliament will tomorrow honor him in a special sitting to be held at 2:00pm.
Prior to that, the body will lie in state for MPs to pay their respects.
On Friday, a special funeral service shall be held at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds before burial slated for Sunday in Rukungiri district.
