Gilbert Bukenya returns TDA nomination forms

Former Vice President Prof Gilbert Bukenya has today returned the Democratic Alliance nomination forms.

Bukenya becomes the first aspirant to return presidential nomination forms as the Alliance seeks a joint candidate for the 2016 race.

He has handed the forms to Bishop Zac Niringiye who is one of the eminent members of the Alliance.

He was flanked by Justice Forum president Asuman Basalirwa and former Buganda Premier Joseph Mulwanyamuli Ssemwogere who signed as witnesses at the TDA office in Kololo.

Meanwhile Bishop Niringiye says the deadline for returning the forms is September 10th, after which the candidate selection committee will go for a retreat ad come up with a flag bearer.
