Government responds to EU parliament concerns

Government has maintained that members of the European Union parliament were used by civil society organisations and NGOs to make serious allegations against Uganda.

Several legislators in the European parliament last week raised concern over the recent.

State minister of foreign affairs Henry Okello Oryem claimed that the members of these NGOs and their funders prepared notes for the European legislators to taint the image of the country

He however says while the whole debate was laughable, government has made an effort to ensure that all concerns raised are responded to
