The Prime Minister Dr Rukahana Rugunda has revealed that the government will give a comprehensive report on the fate of reopening schools for all learners on Wednesday.

During this afternoon’s plenary session, Kalungu West County’s Joseph Ssewungu raised concern over the state of schools and when they shall reopen arguing that some schools had started teaching secretly.

Kira Municipality’s Ssemujju Nganda has demanded answers as to what will happen to parents especially those with students in universities who have already paid tuition and yet the government has stopped their reopening.

Other MPs have also blamed relative ministries for failing to give a report so far on how covid19 has affected finalists who have since been allowed to resume school.

In response, Dr Ruhakana says the government is still monitoring the situation and the cabinet will soon pronounce itself on all the issues raised by the legislators.
