By Moses Kyeyune.

Government has expressed commitment to restore the use of airtime scratch cards, to ease access in the countryside.

The move comes after a consultative meeting between members of parliament, telecom companies and officials from the Uganda Communications Commission held last month.

According to the Speaker, Rebecca Kadaga, the minister of information Frank Tumwebaze has put the government commitment in writing to Parliament.
