Police have preferred charges of human trafficking against a 26-year-old woman the proprietor of Cloud 9 Massage and Chill outs parlour, in Njeru municipality, Buikwe district where four suspects were apprehended for allegedly offering gay and lesbian sex services.

The businesswoman is currently being held at Njeru Police Station in Buikwe district together with three employees.

Addressing journalists at police head offices in Naguru, police spokesperson, Mr. Fred Enanga revealed that although the massage parlour was offering legally sanctioned massage, it also engaged in a range of illicit sex acts to customers, for an extra charge.

“According to one of the victims, a 22-year-old, former staff, the owner used or authorised the use of a vibrator on female, staff and recorded the videos, which she sold for a profit,” Enanga said in a statement.

We have continued to receive complaints from women employed in such establishments, who are victims of trafficking for sexual exploitation. They are coerced with false promises, threatened with violence or physically trapped into this situation, without understanding what they got into,” the statement reads further.

Police have meanwhile urged members of the public to report suspicious homosexual acts.
