Farmers have thronged the northern Uganda Easter Agribusiness Exhibition held at the Mayor’s Gardens in Lira Town.

The exhibition, which commenced on Monday, has brought together farmers and business people from different parts of the country and neighbouring countries like Kenya and South Sudan.

Among the resource people are experts from government agencies including the Uganda Revenue Authority, Uganda Registration Services Bureau, Uganda National Bureau of Standards and National Agricultural Research Organisation.

Lira Woman Member of Parliament, Joy Atim Ongom, while addressing journalists said the show has brought services nearer to the population, especially to the rural communities “so that they may discover the available resources and new technologies.

She called upon residents to turn up in big numbers for the show that runs until Easter Monday.
