The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Martin Okoth Ochola has promoted 13 police officers to higher ranks.
According to deputy police spokesperson, Claire Nabaka, the IGP has promoted 13 subordinate officers, from the sports department to the ranks of Inspector of Police(IP), Assistant Inspector of Police, (AIP) Sergeant (SGT) and corporal (CPL).

Assistant Inspector of Police, Peter Malavu has been promoted to Inspector of Police, Nawooya Magembe Akimu promoted from Sergeant to Assistant Inspector of Police, among other promotions.

Three officers have been promoted from corporal to sergeant and eight police constables have been promoted to the corporal rank.

The IGP has implored them to continue excelling in their field of sports and inspire young talent into sports.
