Inter-Religious council advises government on allocation of oil resource revenues

The Inter-Religious council has asked government to invest revenues in long lasting substantive sectors of the economy.

The Formers principal Judge James Ogola also the chairperson of the Elders Forum says, it will not be beneficial to the country if government fails to allocate the revenues from the oil resource in sectors which benefits the majority of the population.

He says sectors such as health are crucial for the country’s development and also helps the community to live in dignified conditions.

Ogola made the remarks while addressing religious leaders at a National dialogue on the governance of the extractive industry in Uganda Organized by the inter-religious council and the Elders forum.
