The director of public prosecution has ordered the trial of Ivan Kamyuka before the High Court.

The papers to commit him were this morning presented before grade one magistrate Christine Nantege by state prosecutor Joyce Anyango.

Evidence so far produced before court indicates that Kamyuka’s wife Nina Nyaraka and the deceased Johnnie Ahimbisibwe had a baby together.

On the fateful day, it’s alleged that Nina and Johnnie got into a fight when Kamyuka had gone to the toilet and in rescuing his wife, he attacked the deceased.

The incident occurred at Guvnor, a popular nightspot in Kampala.

Prosecution has also stated that it will be able to tender in broken bottles as evidence that they were used to kill Johnnie who was pronounced dead at Case clinic.

The case is yet to be fixed for hearing before the high court.
