Residents in Kabale have criticized the police for barring independent Presidential Candidate, Amama Mbabazi from visiting Kabale Regional referral hospital on Friday.
The hospital gates were locked on Friday morning after Mbabazi reportedly announced plans to visit the facility.
The residents say police conduct is not only a shame but also inhuman especially to the patients that visit the hospital.
The hospital administrator David Tibemanya insists that Mbabazi was locked out because he was not expected at the facility.” With the exception of patients, anyone who wants to visit the hospital for official business must seek permission in advance. But in Hon Mbabazi’s case we didn’t have any appointment with him”, Mr. Tibemanya said.
While the police spokesperson Fred Enanga said yesterday that the Kabale hospital incident was a purely administrative issue between Mbabazi and the hospital management and the police.
