Parliament’s select committee investigating the Shs 6bn golden handshake is today expected to interact with the former URA Commissioner General Allen Kagina and Jennifer Musisi the KCCA executive director who all once worked at the tax body.

This comes after the committee interfaced with all employees of Uganda Revenue Authority who were beneficiaries of this controversial handshake.

Yesterday the probe committee chaired by Bugweri County MP Abdul Katuntu ordered the ministry of energy to establish the actual available amount of money from rewards from the oil court cases after getting contradictory statements from the ministry and Bank of Uganda.

Now officials from petroleum authority have been tasked to go through the audit and establish the actual amount of money in the Fund.
