By Ruth Anderah:

The infamous Lugogo forest mall key murder suspect Matthew Kanyamunyu is today expected to be produced in Court for hearing of his fourth bail application.

Kanyamunyu is expected to be produced before the Head of High Court Criminal division Wilson Kwesiga.

Through his lawyers of Ochienge Associates, Kanyamunyu says it is his constitutional right to bail and the notion of presumption of innocence as major grounds to his new application.

On August 23rd 2017, Justice Yasin Nyanzi dismissed Kanyamunyu’s 3rd bail application on grounds that he had made his application before the same judge who declined to release him on bail but with similar grounds.

In his ruling, Justice Nyanzi then advised Kanyamunyu to apply for bail as many times as he wants but before different judges.

Matthew Kanyamunyu is said to have shot dead social worker Kenneth Akena on the night of November 22nd 2016 along Kampala-Jinja Highway as two got into a quarrel when the deceased allegedly scratched his car.
