By Samuel Ssebuliba:

The police chief Gen.Kale Kayihura has commended the police officers for the high level of professionalism exhibited while arresting the twenty four suspended members of parliament yesterday.

While addressing the media at Kasenyi landing site in Wakiso district today, Kayihura said he ordered the MPs’s arrests and that he had no apologies for what happened because police together with its sister security agencies were only doing their work.

He said that security operatives where so professional to the extent they did not go with guns to effect arrest despite the chaos that was in parliament.

He said they carried out the arrests based on intelligence that they received from Sunday indicating these members were planning to cause chaos in the city including burning the entire parliament.
