The Inspector General of Police, Gen Kale Kayihura has appointed Emillian Kayima as the new spokesperson of the Uganda Police Forces

Kayima who has been acting as the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson now replaces AIGP Assan Kasingye.

Speaking to KFM, Kasigye has confirmed the news adding that following the advice from IGP Kale Kayihura, he has chosen to remain as the Chief Political commissar and leave the other role of being the police spokesperson.

He has however dismissed reports that have circulating on social media that he had resigned.

In March this year, Gen. Kale Kayihura appointed AIGP Asan Kasingye as the police spokesperson, replacing Andrew Felix Kaweesi who was gunned down together with two others in Kulumbiro on March 17.
