KCCA bans posters on city roads

admin | August 24, 2015

Kampala Capital City Authority has issued guidelines for all politicians who wish to display their campaign posters within the city.

City boss Jenniffer Musisi says from now on no campaign poster will be allowed to be pinned up without formal application and payment to the authority.

Musisi explains that application should include information on placement and duration the poster will take during the election period.

Musis further advises aspiring candidates to visit the authority’s out-door advertising office and pay between 500 and 200,000shs for each poster depending on the duration.

She adds that some of the roads like Nile Avenue, Speke, Kampala, Jinja and Bomboshall not have any posters.
