Kampala capital city authority council has maintained the status quo of the park yard vendors to continue operating until the council pounces their status on the issue.

This followed the minister of Kampala Betty Kamya planning to evict these vendors after getting a briefing by Executive Director of KCCA Jenipher Musisi of the park yard and Nakivubo war in her books.

This called for a special council meeting today to discuss on the issue after which they agreed that after Musisi writing a report about the issues underlying the two parties, she should first present the report to the authority council to decide on what should be done without affecting any party.

The Deputy Mayor Sarah Kanyike  who was leading the meeting concluded that before eviction, Vendors should continue working without any disturbance until further notice.

Meanwhile, the vendors who had also come to know their fate at KCCA vowed not to vacate this land illegally claiming that they have spent 30 years operating on this land as well as paying taxes
