The Health service commission has singled out the scarcity of specialists in general hospitals as major force behind the increasing number of patients swarming mulago.

While presenting the commission’s annual report 2015/2016 to the speaker of parliament, Dr Pius Okong the commission’s chairman said that the 49 General hospitals are supposed to have 245 specialists, but to date only 12 are available.

Now Dr Okong is asking government to equip these general hospitals as well as recruiting more specialists to feel this gap

Now the speaker Rebecca Kadaga has promised to follow this matter to the later.
