Civil society organizations have applauded parliament for passing a motion on the plight of persons affected by the LRA conflict.

The organizations believe this will go a long way in addressing the plight of women and children affected by the war.

The spokesman invisible children, Micheal Mubangizi says this will offer hope to the victims and help in planning.

MPs led by Stephen Mukitale also made additions to the motion urging government to document the damage, cost of war to people and affected communities with a view of knowing the exact harm inflicted by this war to human life.

Mukitale argued that this would inform programmatic intervention and responses.

The motion arose from a petition signed by 4,209 formerly abducted children to the speaker of parliament in 2013.
