Lukwago

City Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago is questioning the legality of the KCCA budget.

Addressing the media at his office in Kamwokya today, Lukwago said the right process to have the budget passed was never followed and no council meeting was held as required by law.

He also questions the amount allocated to some sectors saying they are too high, describing it as fraud.

Lukwago points out the Sh.36 billion allocation for the development of USAFI market saying it is not realistic.

He says the market is also a private entity wondering why KCCA would inject such huge sums of money in it.

Lukwago is now appealing to parliament not to pass the KCCA budget until the proper procedure is followed.
