The state minister for investment and privatization Evelyn Anite has revealed that her life is in danger following the ongoing audit into Uganda Telecom limited (UTL).

Addressing journalists at the finance ministry headquarters, Anite says ever since she started the audit she has been receiving calls and messages from unknown people she has branded as Mafias threatening her life.

She alleges that the ‘mafias’ have also been tapping her phone on top of following her.

Anite further alleges that these people who are opposed to the audit have been holding meetings at the URSB headquarter offices and Kampala club.

She now says she is going to write to the inspector general of police over the same but insists she will die for the truth.
