The Monitor Publications Limited has partnered with Windle Trust Uganda to improve education of the South Sudan refugee pupils in Moyo district.

While launching the Excel in PLE at Belameling Vocational Training Institute located in Palorinya Refugee settlement in Moyo district on Monday, Joshua Businge, the Newspaper in Education (NiE) Project Supervisor said it is specially targeting P.7 candidates.

Businge says the Excel in PLE is meant to have teachers interact with the learners using an opportunities of questions and answers.

The South Sudan refugee pupils have been faced with the challenge of shortage of learning materials.

Yassin Ayume, the Education project officer Windle Trust says the pullout comes with the entire Newspaper every Wednesday which helps keeps the learners informed about current affairs.
