Members of Parliament are all smiles after realizing that they will be given vehicles in just two months from now.

The Speaker Rebecca Kadaga while opening this afternoon’s session disclosed that money had been secured and vehicles have been ordered for delivery.

The source of the money however is not clear since the ministry of Finance had earlier indicated that there was no money for cars and that the MPs’ vehicles had not been budgeted for, for the 2016/17 Financial year.

Although she has not revealed the cost of the vehicles, it is estimated to be over Sh64 billion.

The speaker has also told the members that declaration of wealth under the leadership code will be done online.
