MTN Fraud Case: Anti-Corruption Court Expected To Pass Judgement Today

The head of Anti-Corruption Court Paul Mugamba is today expected to deliver judgment against MTN employees accused of defrauding the company of sh3billion.

The MTN employees including Joseph Magombe, Daniel Ssegujja and Irene Kauma are charged with electronic fraud, theft, receiving and retaining stolen property and electronic fraud.

They are jointly charged with six others suspects who were not MTN employees who include a cleaner.

Prosecution states that the suspects on January 25, 2013 stole over sh3billion at the MTN offices situated along Yusuf Lule road in Kampala.
