Museveni begs Kyotera residents for LC polls support

David Kugonza | November 10, 2017

By Benjamin Jumbe:

President Yoweri Museveni has called on residents of Kyotera to come out and overwhelmingly support NRM in the forthcoming local council elections.

Elections are set for November 21st with elections of women councils scheduled for next week on Tuesday.

The president made the call while addressing a rally jointly with his Tanzania counterpart at Kyotera district local government headquarters last evening.

The rally was aimed at sensitizing residents about the East African crude oil pipeline which will go through 9 districts including Kyotera.

The president also called on the residents to ensure they prepare to tap in the numerous opportunities the project is to offer.
