Nabbanja wants soldiers to inspect schools

Ritah Kemigisa | January 9, 2023

Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has called for the intervention of UPDF soldiers to help in the inspection of schools.

She made the appeal during the opening of a 10-day patriotic ideology workshop for secondary school head teachers that is underway at the Kyankwanzi leadership training institute.

According to Nabbanja, it has come to the notice of the government that some inspectors of schools are sleeping on the job.

She warns that if the inspection of schools is not enhanced, the future of education remains at stake.

Last year in August, head teachers from Lango, Acholi and west Nile sub-regions also underwent 10 days of training at the institute.
