Nakawa Chief Magistrate’s court has further extended the bail of the former Forum for Democratic Change (FDC)  presidential Candidate Dr. Kiiza Besigye up to the 28th /April 2017.

This is after the Head of the criminal division of the High court Justice Wilson Kwesiga ordered that Besigye reports for extension of bail before the same court currently handling the treason case against him.

Justice Kwesiga reached the decision after Beisgye petitioned him last month complaining of the expenses and time he spends while making appearances in two counts over a similar case.

Today   Besigye has appeared before Grade one magistrate Noah Sajjabi for extension of his bail instead of the High court Deputy registrar in -charge of criminal matters.

At the same time, Magistrate Sajjabi also mentioned Besigye’s treason case and adjourned it to the 28th/April 2017 after DPP’S Ann Ntimba reported that inquiries are still on-going.
